Cool! smiley - cool

One more nitpicking point: according to my copy of the 'Guinness Book Of British Hit Singles', 'Too Drunk To smiley - bleep' only got to number 36 in the UK singles chart. That book features the chart used by the BBC, so I suppose it should be trusted on that crucial fact!

Short thing about Giger, you might like to link to it?

I'd like to see some external links too. It's the only thing I can think of to add to an excellent entry.

I was asked to put this in the thread by a friend of mine, Kairo, who is also on h2g2, but couldn't seem to get it to work for him:

"I'm impressed with your pièce de la résistance about Jello Biafra. As your knowledge about him and all that he stands for and is coming from way outclasses mine, I'm afraid there's very little I can say that would actually constitute an addition to your very informative article. You know my overall stance in life, and the article only illustrates our spiritual kindredness. Thank you for this moment of illumination. Way to go, and keep it up!"

By the way, Kheldar - wouldn't it be a awesome to pull off a spoken word festival one day, lining up Jello Biafra, Henry Rollins, Glenn Danzig, Lynton Kwesi Johnson and David Byrne?
Something for Het Kasteel perhaps? smiley - winkeye

I've already been thinking about that, and I've even already spoken to our programmer about it...just need to find out about the details like costs, booking agencies and stuff like that. I'm up for it if we can pull it off smiley - biggrin

Allow me to throw in a little suggestion here... try to team up with Crossing Border if you're serious about pulling it off. smiley - winkeye

Seems like your name is made Steve just now (if it wasn't already)... congratulations for this well earned nomination. smiley - smiley
As for Danzig, his lineage is much like Rollins' but as the latter's lead theme is predominantly inspired by violence in all its aspects and nuances, Danzig tends to emphasize on esotherical poetry.
Being originally a reggae artist, LKJ is one of the founding fathers of dub. As this derivative got more and more established, LKJ got more and more into spoken word. His themes are very kindred to Biafra's, albeit much less confrontational in style.
