Fantastic review there; I'm a huge Kubrick fan and always love to read new articles about my favourite film of all time. Although it is a film that has been analysed and reviewed to death, your article is fresh and still informative, even for a veteran like me!
Malcolm McDowell is a truly underrated but very talented actor in my opinion; but yes, he plays a huge variety of roles with the greatest of ease, the sign of a true actor. But it is sad, as he does not get half the recognition he deserves; Clockwork being the cross he has to carry and subsequently people who don't know better can't see through the 'Alex syndrome'. And considering the drivel that he's been given (e.g. Mr Magoo, need I say more?), it's a shame to see such a truly talented man have his talent wasted on such drivel.

Thank you very much, o my brother
I've not seen Malcom McDowell in anything else. Any recommendations?

As it happens, I'm a big fan (as if you already haven't guessed!), so I would recommend seeing him in the films If... and O Lucky Man! for starters. There is a third to these films, Britannia Hospital, which although Malc isn't in it for long it's still a must-see.
Also, you should try and get the full version of Caligula. It is a dirty film (made by Penthouse!) but his performance as the crazed emperor can't be faulted. Lastly, I'd recommend Star Trek Generations and Gangster No 1. He always plays a good bad guy, espec in GN1.
There are loads of others I'd recommend (Voyage of the Damned, Aces High) but those above are my personal faves

Many thanks
I've been intending to watch Gangster Number 1 for a while anyway...

Do, it's the best gangster film I've seen since Goodfellas; it's that good.
