I like this: it's one of the best poems I've seen on for a while.
I particularly like the description of your childhood home. And it says something interesting about memory.

Saying something about memory was what sparked it. Somebody for Bob know which time said "imagine a picture from your youth". The thing is, I don't. I know how it was and could tell you all about it. But see it? Nope.

I'm the other way around. I can see it first, and feel it, even smell it.
Then I try to describe it.
My earliest memories have no words, just pictures and smells.
