It's finally happening !
As a native Swede, I'd like to volunteer immediately. If need be I also understand Norwegian and Danish as long as it's written not spoken

Hi Freedom,
thanks a lot for volunteering!
Unfortunately the Translators' scheme still is somehow inofficial, i.e. being tested, and the language of choice happens to be German. This is what Peta answered when I asked her how to deal with prospective Translator Volunteers:
<QUOTE FROM PETA>
They can volunteer, but we can't actually manage to run more than one
language scheme at the moment. I'm actually finding it really hard to find time to get the German postings and entries up. I've got a new staff member starting in March, which will help a lot, but obviously I'm going to have to spend quite a bit of time at first training them up on the main h2g2 systems.
So, yes it's lovely if people volunteer, but I may not be able to use their help for at least six months, we don't have a big enough in house team to handle the work when it comes back.

Anyhow, I'll add you to the TransVolvania page, so just in case someone needs a little bit of help from a Swedish speaking person, this might be the place to look for.

Thanks for adding...
I know it's just being tried out just now, I just wanted to be sure I was first in line when the time comes

Oh, sure - I'm all for Danish! The language, that is - not the what-you-eat-thingy...
(well, as a matter of fact that, too - but is doesn't translate well. We call it "bread from Vienna", you know )
