Well, that certainly proves something.
Perhaps the question ought to be 'can I intrude upon someone having a pointless but no doubt enjoyable conversation with himself without intruding?'
This thread started off being about Answers. But zat meens nossing on h2g2.

Frogbit, feeling abashed at having intruded, bows out gracefully.

You do everything gracefully, old mate - or so I've heard. But why you feel you're the intruder not (possibly) me, is beyond me

No - Mina started it, then it drifted and drifted - as they do.

I was Grimethorpe2k1 until I fiddled with my password and such and removed myself from existence. Then I briefly tried Grimethorpe but it didn't work, now I'm over here at Grime.
If you look at Grimethorpe 2k1, you can follow the links across from THIS IDENTITY HAS CEASED TO OPERATE.

Regarding your last entry, perhaps you'd like to hear the opinions of the writer Jack Vance;
"Of all questions, 'why?' is the least pertinent. It begs the question; it assumes the larger part of its own response; to wit, that a sensible response exists."
Of course, the possibility exists that you would not like to hear it at all.

When I bravely said ''bring on Lennox Lewis' I didn't really mean it.......
**Why?**
Because I was being jocular.
