As the writer of this entry, I was particularly impressed. This is one of three existing entries on South Carolina and the only one that's factually based without delving too far into oppinion.

This was a very factual entry. But it was kind of dry.

Are there any weird details about the state that you could add. How about relating Fort Sumter to the flag debate or something? You could mention the possibility of hurricanes under the climate section. That's kind of a biggie. Stuff like that to give it a bit of spark and life.

Or not. Just my 2 cents. smiley - smiley

I see your point over the hurricane's and there have been some new developments on the flag issue since I first wrote it. I'll sleep on it and edit it tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks

Hmmm...

Well, I don't know about it being dry, but you could expound on a couple of these 'tourist tracks.' Being in the know, you could probably recommend a stop or two for the ignorant tourist. Myrtle Beach deserves at least a couple of lines by itself. Nice info in this article - good job.

I agree that this one definitely still needs some work. Unfortunately smiley - sadface the author isn't around anymore. Anyone interested in taking this one on?

I know very little about South Carolina, except that it's close to North Carolina and has a lot of nursing homes and tobacco fields. Maybe we should set up a home for orphan articles that their writers have abandoned - there seems to have been an exodus after the Swell Foop.

Actually, quite a few of these researchers were already gone by then. It seems to be pretty common for people to set up a h2g2 account, write a bunch of entries over a week or two, submit them to peer review, and then get bored with it all and never come back.

I agree that we need a home for orphaned entries, though. smiley - smiley

Isn't that what the workshop is for?

I'm guessing we should be sending this one over to the Workshop at this point. Any seconders?

Editorial Note: This Conversation has been moved to the new 'Flea Market' Forum.

This is where we move any Peer Review, Writing Workshop or Alternative Writing Workshop Conversations where the original author has *not* posted to h2g2 for three months. This prevents the active Review Forums from clogging up with dormant entries, but in the Flea Market they can be picked up by others and polished off.

Looks like Gladly wrote a couple of South Carolina entries, neither of which actually made it into the Edited Guide:

A815249 Driving in South Carolina
