Why not join the h2g2 writer's group that I've set up? Go on you know you want to. There are links through my personal space. (I can't remember the code for it at the moment).

Does the group still exist??? I need some inspiration. I've started my first novel(Horror) and I would be really happy to communicate with other's just starting. Who has had their first rejection?
Let me know.

The Group still exists, but has been inactive for a while. However, I am available for comments etc.

That's good to know. I sort of stuck in a rut at the moment. I've started a novel and it seems that there is so much to think of. How does a poor 9 to 5'er like me get an agent for example. I've read so much information about being a writer, how to write a synopsis, correct spacing in your manuscript, etc. But it doesn't seem that one get's that "foot in the door" without an agent. Should I send a synopsis of my work to a literary agent??????????????

The simple answer, I imagine, is yes. Treat the agent no less than you would a publisher. If unsuccessful always remember that JK Rowling was rejected by 9 agents before being taken seriously.
Good luck.
