Top journalism, Granny, though I caught the train in grand old Middlesbrough, seeing as how Guisborough station closed in the sixties.
I had some Paddy whiskey last night - they've got a bottle in Boro's oldest pub, The Ship.

You lucky devil I suppose it should have been marvelous Middlesborough then - but it just didn't sound right

Yes, I felt lucky, especially as the boss was paying for it. I hadn't been impressed with The Ship's spirits selection, but I realise now that was because the only spirits I really knew about are scotches. No doubt if I understood brandy I'd be agog at the range.
