You *really* don't want to be searching for those domains with multiple different domain tools if you intend to buy them back.
It's a very common scam to set up a "domain search" site, then buy any domains people search for and offer to sell them on to them at a profit. Forget the £10 fee, you'll likely get a solicitor's letter when the domain is released offering it at a "reduced price" of £200 on behalf of "a client" who's really sad to see it go...

I've been thinking that it might be a good time to buy a scanner printer, do you know any good makes costing less than 40 pounds that do not cost the earth to run and don't self destruct.?
I want one powered separately but usb connectivity.

I only ever owned six domains though:
arismetique.com
arismetique.info
arismetique.co.uk
arismetique.eu
arsmetique.co.uk
mathrecondo.com
No others, honest your honour.

"I've been thinking that it might be a good time to buy a scanner printer, do you know any good makes costing less than 40 pounds that do not cost the earth to run and don't self destruct.?"
It's the cost of ink that makes them expensive... A little research is required on your part.
First, check out somewhere like SVP for their cheapest ink deals, such as http://svp.co.uk/product/ciss_for_epson_c48_printer_ub_ciss_ec48 for the Epson C48. It gives you the equivalent of six full sets of cartridges for £11.50, and the next refill works out even cheaper as you don't need the device, just the ink.
Next, search eBay for a printer that "fits the ink"... Don't get too hung up on it being an all-in-one; they're not as good as having a separate printer and scanner, since if one part fails you have to chuck out both.
For example, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EPSON-STYLUS-C48-A4-COLOUR-PRINTER-with-inks-vgc_W0QQitemZ380091349369QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CamerasPhoto_Printers_Printers_JN?hash=item380091349369&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 for £33 inc. postage.
If, like that one, it's not an all-in-one, find a decent scanner the same way. I'd suggest nothing with a lower resolution than 2400x2400 DPI.

I don't use that much paper, I bought 2000 sheets of A4 in 1998 and still have 1500 sheets left.
In fact the last printers ink self destructed because it was hardly used, the ink cartridge was nearly full six months after it was bought.
So I have gone for one with individual inks and from Comet, cheaper than on the internet. The Epson SX200 at £35 approx.

Pricy; but what's wrong with this:

I don't use much ink and I've seen some at 0.01p +£3.49 postage

That's 3 black cartridges only. The CISS is equivalent to 12 black carts, 12 cyan, 12 magenta and 12 yellow. Future refills of it are much cheaper, too... From £4.04 per colour for 12 cartridges worth, £7.25 for 8 cartridges worth, no wastage between cartridges and you only need to buy the ones that run out.

Aargh. That should say "£7.25 for 24 cartridges worth"...

I thought I had emailfax but turns out that it is a premium service at $8.95 per month
But I have found pamfax which I only just got working at 0.14p per page
This is paid through skype so if I want to fax anything anywhere I can, so long as my broadband improves.
They are supposed to be putting up a new satellite in January, or is that another con.

Comet are a ripp off, I ordered top of the range Belkin 5m USB a-B and I get cheap crap in its place.
Why don't these things come with instructions that make sense, it took me 3 hours to work out where the ink goes, another hour to work out that your supposed to use a hammer to put it in and another hour to work out how the paper supposed to feed in.
It works now but the total cost at £48.10 including shipping, (bus fare) doesn't look so good now.
It would have cost me £39.90+£3.50+£8.80(shipping) £52.20 from Amazon because I don't use Royal Mail.
Well, I should have looked in the bag I suppose

Got a reply from Lycos about transfering
They said you have to unlock your domains then tell them so that they can be transferred.
Wait a minute, they told me I had to transfer, to their lovely strato, and it isn't a requirement to unlock .co.uk names to transfer registrar, and they wasn't even the registrar but only provided a couple of nameservers .
I sent them an email to close the account because they don't appear to know they are not registrars, or even that the nameservers are now changed.
blimey what a bunch of 's

The printing on my new printer became wonky and smudged, so after trying everything I returned it.
Looking at the instructions again for it's replacement I found it said 'do not remove clear tape on the ink'.
The photo printing isn't so good, I got 25 A4 sheets of glossy ink jet paper from the co-op for £3.99 which is cheaper than Ebay, but it puts a couple of feint grooves down the page.
It also shakes a lot so I've had to move it away from the pc, a busy Christmas.

There was me thinking everything is ok now, stupidly declaring everything working better than expected; temp 3 degrees below the MB and 3 degrees above ambient at idle, never more than 38C under full load:
I tested physX under full load and got 12v undervoltage for a few seconds. Nothing else, I wouldn't have known if it wasn't reported at 4v.
I thought asustec nvidia geforce 8400gs 512mb silent was about 50 watts, but now I'm not so sure.
The 9800gt requires 180 watts and so if the processors are the same maybe it's 90 watts.
Anyway, I found out it's amps that matter and my psu is 20 amp, which is crap but still should be adequate. 8.5 amp cpu + 7.5 amp gpu(maybe) + another 3 amp for good luck equals less than 20 amp.
But it could be the op system again, since it changed either before or after the event. It did change but I don't know when, I've got some tools to fix it now, another common windows problem.
My 12v does not look right, an OCCT test showed stable but what are the ripples on idle bearing in mind no other applications are running.

In and of themselves, the scale of those dips don't seem to be a problem in the grand scheme of things. Apart from observing the logged dips (which could equally be a sign of a problem with the logging software, even if they were significant) are you experiencing any other symptoms?
CSS
Pirate Alexander LeGray Posted Jan 7, 2009
Nope, that graph was from a stability test after 12v undervolt occured whilst trying to drive up the temperature of my graphics card using PhysX.
The power settings in windows were changed, from 'minimal power' to 'always on' with the disapearance of options.
The last time this happened I found it to remain undetected and having no affect at all until opening power settings, and a fix which is a registry key change was found on the web.
It showed no affects during undervoltage to 4v, the fans didn't slow down, physx continued to function normally, the only abnormal thing was the warning.
Any number of things could cause it though, including a power surge.
