Hello,

I like Marshmallow Peeps and think they're one of the great aspects of Spring. I think it's a nice topic for the Guide, but I feel your entry needs a bit more depth. Sure, those of us in the know now have new ways to consume the little treats, but many readers in the UK and Australia, etc. are probably scratching their heads wondering what a Peep is. My suggestion is that you provide some background on what Peeps are, who makes them, what shapes and colors they come in, etc. at the beginning of the article. I know I may sound picky, but I'm generally interested in the article, so you're off to a great start.

Interestingly enough, you're not the first author to write something about Peeps. There is another unedited entry at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A455672
I would suggest perhaps that you collaborate with the author to create a truly amazing Peep entry, but he seems to be gone, and I'm not sure what the procedure would be for doing that. Anybody have a better idea?

Yours,
Jake

Hello,

You might find it interesting to see what other people have done in articles about this area:

These entries aren't really provided to demand a particular format you should follow. It's just to give you an idea of other snack-related entries that have been approved for the Edited Guide.

The 'crap' seems a bit misplaced over there...

Well, if no-one comes up with further ideas or suggestions then that's basically what you can do. You might think of writing further entries or visiting a pub somewhere to while away the time smiley - smiley

see, the point is this: there are some 160 postings here, waiting to be recommended at a rate of 25 per week, while new entries are entered from the other side every week. It *does* take its time...

Before we start celebrating, I'd really like to see a little more development of the actual 'Peeps' themselves. JustBorn, the company that makes them, is located in Pennsylvania (of course) and their websites, which you linked to, should have some background information.

Simply when they were first produced, etc., etc...

Details. I want to see more details. smiley - smiley

The 'how to eat them' bit is cute, but as a 'Peep' junkie since age 3 (30 years ago) I want to see these marshmallow creations get their due. smiley - ok

Hi there, Pi!

I must agree with JimiX here, any response to his comments?

If you need some help in fleshing this one out, we could move it to the Writing Workshop where some helpful souls would lend you a hand.

That sounds like a good hoopy idea.. I'm not too good at writing, but I thought I'd give it a whack.
