Scottish Mini-Meet excuse
Mister Matty Started conversation Aug 21, 2003
h2g2 Researcher Acid Override will be visiting Glasgow over the coming week and I decided a mini-meet might be in order.
I propose either the evening of Saturday 23rd August or Sunday 24th August.

Well, I wouldn't mind top "usually not busy" pub "The Bear Pit", but it'll probably end up being in the Counting House.

The Counting House is reasonably tradtional for these events. Or at least, it is since they messed with the Old Printworks.

Don't know the bearpit.. but i know the counting house (wutherspoon clone pub MK145 !)
Earliest i can usually get back into town is about 8.30.. then last train home at 11.15, so a shortish night is the norm for me!

Cannae make it Saturday for a mini-meet. One of my colleagues has a birthday pi$$-up tomorrow, and there's a bunch of old friends that will be over here for that too, so I'm gonna have to pass on the Glasgow mini-meet.

I'm gonna be in Chicago...I think the round trip fpr a night in the pub would be a bit expensive!

Yes... usually just "Jamie" is an adequate description.
"What does he look like?"
"He looks like Jamie."

Er.. slight change of plan- i may not be able to make it... a lady friend requires my services...
But she has been known to make last minute changes to arrangements.... so i may be there, i may not...
Definately meet up with you guys one of these meets!

Chances are DD, my bro and I will make it too. It can then also double as a vague 18th birthday celebration. 18?????
