As I've just moved to the Highlands do I count as a scottish researcher ..even though I am from England? If so add me to the list

Well, most Scottish Researchers count one.. two.. three.. etc
If you're living up there and count like that I recon you're in - but you'll have to learn the ~ch~ and to eat haggis

Dang, beaten to the obvious joke
Of course, to eat the haggis, you'll have to shoot it first. Good haggis hunting country up there. Plenty of mountains. Anyway, welcome to the club Of course, normally we'd insist on an unbroken lineage going back to Kenneth MacAlpine, but it'd be a verry small group if we did
Really must organise a meet up there at some point...

I was at school with Kenneth MacAlpine!
Might not be the same one you're referring to though. *raises hat in welcome to Tabitca*

They ain't normally that bad Tabitca. Mind you I suppose I started going to Scottish meets before many of them (apart from those who turned up on time for the first one. But then I di have a 7 hours journey by car, boat, three trains and then the final walk out of waverley Station so I showed commitment.

There is a joke in there DD.......
Oh what the Haggis, I'll do it anyway!
Does this mean you been committed for an awful long time......I know I should have been years ago.
Don't worry Tabitca, lunacy is not a prerequisite. It usually happens during a meet.....

I was an honourary Scot at the first Scots meet up. At the time I was the Northern Irish Researchers all in one.
So yes I was a little.
