I tried AskHootoo but no one wanted to answer - I had to reply to myself twice
I'll be up in Glasgow on Thursday and Friday of next week (flying in Thurs and back out Fri). Just wondered if anyone wanted to meet up while I've got the chance. Like I said in AskHootoo I'll buy (and not just for me ).

I'd love to join you guys, but unfortunately, I'm on rather limited funds nowadays, so, I can't make it. Sorry.

Bit of a change of plan as I can't get any flights home on Friday - I'll be flying up Weds and coming home Thurs so it'll be Wednesday evening.
Jamie - glad to see someone's showing some interest , I'll be working in central Glasgow and then staying in the Byers road area near the botanical gardens. I'll leave the venue up to you as I only know the scream pub in Byers road because the guy I travelled with last time still had his yellow student card

*already know he's going to have to write that down phonetically*
Any other takers for beering? Or are you all making feeble excuses not to be associated with the mighty Captain SpankMunki

As Steve (the guy I'm travelling with) and I have limited time it would be easier to go for a meal in the evening. Is this still ok with EV and Jamie? There's a chinese called Chow in Byers road which received much patronage last time I stayed in Glasgow for any length of time - and it's easier to pass off for expenses than beer
If this is a problem let me know.
If Jamie, EV or anyone for that matter would like to email me here is my address: .graves (at) henderson (dot) com

Jamie,
Well the only pub I know around there is the Scream (student pub) at the top of Byers road - Chow is at the bottom. It's fairly open plan so it'll probably be the easiest place to meet. If we say 7pm in the Scream is that ok?
The address I gave above is only any use if I'm at work - I wont be in a couple of hours. CC it to my home address:
liam(dot)graves(at)blueyonder(dot)co(dot)uk
I'll give you my phone number via email to save doing the "I'll be wearing a pink carnation..." stuff.
Liam.
