A Conversation for The Day I Woke Up Sad

I felt the Foreboding

As I read your account I could feel the sense of foreboding building up. I refused to jump ahead to see if I was right, but I was. I have had the odd episode myself but nothing that major. it is most unnerving.

I would think you are thankful you didn't 'get the message' and the real reason for your sense of dread. As you say, what could you have done, who would have believed you?

Thank you for a very moving piece and thank you for sharing.

I can remember precisely where I was, and what I was doing in the UK on that morning. It was another Kennedy moment if you like, and I agree everything changed (and not for the better) on that day.

I remember exactly what I was doing that day. It was a Tuesday. My parents and I were going to watch a movie, Planet of the Apes. I heard about airplanes having struck buildings, just before we went in to see the movie. Then we watched the movie, and when we came back, we got the rest of the story.

I was working at my desk with the radio on. At first it didn't really sink in when the first plane hit, but after that there was nothing else on but the news smiley - sadface

I can remember too exactly where I was when Kennedy was shot. Strange how some momentous events stay with us in such detail.
