Obviously, like everyone, I like to see feedback, positive or negative, but I don't take it personally when there is none. Generally, I do wish people would post more, but cannot blame them too much as I am not so very communicative myself. I tend to bury myself in my little corner and not pay too much attention to what goes on across the site. Nevertheless it can be frustrating to spend a week or two of spare moments putting a piece together, posting it with great pride, and then meeting no/little response. Certainly the two or three regular guys on AWW do usually get on to a piece pretty quickly, but I have yet to find a piece that breaks through to a wider audience. Ping Pong is not (imho) my best work, but at least it got to The Post. I'm happy with that.

the main problem is getting the main crowd to even look at the post. let alone your story too. odly enough many people seem to either not look at ,or atleast never post on, the post

I see the Post is under new editorship. Perhaps they'll find a way of enforcing a "post a comment or die" option.
