O darn it, I hate being culturally ignorant. I really liked the story, and then comes the twist and I am lost. Drat!
I liked the way the characters are depicted - both seem real, are convincing. The sadness that transcends everything in that story really got me. Man, and then I don't get the end. Darn it.
Anyway, keep writing.

for 'a prince albert'!!
love the story,very well writen,and
typical of a middle-aged couple!!
