A Conversation for Guide Entries that Should Be Written

Though there is a wealth of excellent information on number of mental illnesses (mostly described as "Disorders", but that's down to the psychiatrists), i.e. SAD, OCD, schizophrenia etc, and some very insightful treatises on depression, there seems to be nothing on Manic Depression (also known as Bipolar Affective Disorder).
MD is a condition manifested by cycles of emotion running to extremes, all the way from feelings of severe depression to manic elation. Though not necessarily governed by any delusion of different personalities, it can be very difficult to manage, and without medication it requires a lot of awareness, self-regulation and insight (not to mention a completely stress-free existence, which is of course impossible).
It's a condition I've only recently become aware of in myself, and difficult to get to grips with. I'd write an article if I felt I had sufficient information and understanding at my disposal (I'm looking into it), but if anyone out there with knowledge and experience can, it may prove of great help to someone, not least me.
Cheers kk

This is a great idea for an entry. I also suffer from Manic Depression, though finally after over 14 years of trying I have found a therapy that works! I think the guide would be enriched with an entry on Manic Depression. I may take this one on. Though I take my time writing entries so it may take a while!
