My Lemur entry. This is really my first entry, but I had to write the Taxonomy entry so I could link to it in this one.... I hope it is OK that the Taxonomy entry is only 'recommended' at this point.

Hi, Will of God!
I'm afraid the fact that your Taxonomy entry is still 'recommended' could be a problem. The sub-editor will take a copy of it and enter that under a new number before they work on it, and it's this new number you need to get the link right. This happened to me with one entry - I wanted to link to three recommended entries (which had all been done earlier) but they were with different sub-editors and it couldn't be done.
So unless you want to withdraw this from Peer Review, you're just going to have to cross your fingers and hope that the sub-editor who has the Taxonomy entry deals with it fairly quickly.

OIC... hmmm... what is the average time it takes for that process to take place?

I'm afraid I haven't a clue what the average was, and I think the changes that have been made to the recommending/editing processes may just have changed all that anyway. Sorry I can't help!
Turning to the article, I think that your present arrangement of the first paragraph is a little off-putting - the first thing you see is all the 'hard' taxonomy, with the interesting snippets later. The general style of edited entries favours having a few introductory remarks before the first header. The first entry I wrote didn't have that, and the sub-editor fitted it to the guide style by leaving out my first header. In your case, I think that if you took all the lighter description (from 'Lemurs have a bizarre appearance' to 'look as if staring') and put it before the first header, it would make the entry more approachable. You could then even change the first heading to 'Some Taxonomy' or 'Lemur Taxonomy' and have the link in the main article rather than in a footnote.
What do think? Please remember that I'm just another researcher, not a scout or anything, and you're not under any obligation to make changes just because someone else suggests them!

Looks OK to me
However, is this really all there is to say about such a fascinating creature? Just seems a bit short really
What's already there is excellent though

I think it is short too... but all I can think to add is merchandising.... "You too can own your very own Aye-Aye Alice beanie baby!"

If you want to add a bit more, what about going into more detail about why so many lemur species are endangered? I think Madagascar is a particularly poor country. Is the danger due to deforestation, agricultural practices, or population pressures (or all of them)? An extra paragraph or two on that issue would be nice, and a very appropriate tribute to Douglas Adams and his interest in preserving endangered species!
By the way, I think the new arrangement of the first pargraph looks much more approachable.

Thanks for this entry, I enjoyed reading it.
Only one point, the subheaders entitled "lemur food" etc, really don't need to have the word "lemur" at the front of each one.
"food" etc. is sufficient as the entry is *just* about lemurs.

True, but I like getting suggestions and want to inform people why I don't act on them if I plan not to.
