Anyone ever been to Newcastle? I'm going for a stag do there next weekend and wondered if its actually as good as people say?

I went to uni in Durham for four years and we used to go out in Newcastle a fair bit. It's a really good night out if you're a student, but I haven't been beack there for the past five years so I don't really know now. It's meant to be an 'up and coming' kind of place though, so I expect there's a fair mix of bars, clubs and things to be found.
Where are you from Hoover?
I'm going out in York next weekend
