WHAT!?? With Ian and I!??
what what!?? It's not discussion... it's debate!!!!
SO THERE!!!
Ian's going to have a very busy day.... and then an exciting weekend... sooo... there might be little discussion for awhile...
Pheloxi-- did you give your opinion on the Chicken-egg theory!??
HEY!!! IF YOU LOOK AT THE QUESTION, I AM RIGHT!!!! We are being asked: "Which came first: the Chicken or the egg!??" The querant said CHICKEN first!!! SO THERE!!!
CUTE!!!
Ian M Jefferson Posted Jun 28, 2001
Look! The egg and the chicken that came from the egg are, in fact exactly the same being! But, there is no reason for the egg to be like it's parent. Hence the egg came first!
It's a question that many people think about and I have found the answer!!
to all who listen!
CUTE!!!
Ian M Jefferson Posted Jun 28, 2001
Not Quoight! The chicken came to the earth as a lucky accident!

I refuse to answer that.
I was talking about walnuts if make you brianier, because they look like little brains.

bit by bit the egg gets legs.

Yael Smith Posted Jun 29, 2001
I stand corrected- the DEBATE lasted quite long...
And nothing makes you brainier- either you are, or you're not.

YAY!!! Tomorrow I'm 500 days, probably... Two years in November...
What I meant by all of us being a lucky accident like the chicken is-- the chicken-egg query is really about human beings, well, not really, but applies to humanity in a sense.
What came first: God or people!?? Some say that PEOPLE created the concept of God, or a need for a god or gods... OR... did the higher power create humanity!??
Which translates, for me, into: What came first: The Chicken or the egg. If it was egg first...
Woah... new thought.... if it IS egg first, how does the egg KNOW to hatch into a chicken!??
CUTE!!!
Yael Smith Posted Jun 30, 2001
Are you aware of the consequences involved with asking such questions, dear?
And people created God- the whole concept is dumb enough, to be created only by people.

I'm aware of the consequence of asking such questions. Knowledge.

Ian M Jefferson Posted Jul 4, 2001
God came first! Don't you know your Bible?
Oh, and the Egg and the creature inside it are the same thing! The egg doesn't have any choice but to hatch into a Chicken - (if it hatches at all that is)

The question isn't "What came first, the chicken or the chicken egg!!??", IS IT, NOW, You pretty Brit!!! !??
IT doesn't ask what sort of egg... it could be a fish egg or a gecko egg or best yet a DRAGON EGG that HATCHES THE DRAGON THAT SWALLOWS THE WORLD!!!... And we're just in the pit of his stomach waiting to be digested...
And yes, God came first... so if we argee on that, and you buy into my analogy-theory regarding said foul and said embryo, you would admit that the chicken(being the PARENT, as God is the PARENT) came first!!!
CUTE!!!
Ian M Jefferson Posted Jul 6, 2001
Yes, God being the metaphorical chicken did come first I can agree on that.
Now given that God created man in his own image how is it that we can't routinely see Angels? Reason being is that we may be in God's image, but there are subtle differences in our make up.
So, what I am also saying is that although the chicken is parent to the egg, the resulting offspring although in many ways the sam as the chicken may be different enough to be thought of as a different species. Hence the egg came first!
Am I confusing you all yet?
