The term "finger-tight" has been used for a long time for when someone screws on a nut with no tools, they say it's "finger-tight", when in fact most "finger-tight" nuts are actually not tight at all compared to when a spanner is used and therefore "loose". So a more accurate saying is "the nut is finger-tight-loose".

Traveller in Time fixing nuts with bare hands
"It is true finger tight is not as tight as with a spanner, though I mostly can not loose them by hand if I first fixed them by hand .
Fixing them goes more easy then loosing them for an oscure reason. "

Hmmm I wonder if there is a word for that problem, quite often when you do up a nut with your fingers you can't undo it without a tool....It's the same nut and same fingers but it won't budge.
