A Conversation for Journalists

Oh dear!

It seems that some of our trade secrets have been let out by this entry. But at least there are still a few left, such as why some of us don't smole, and others don't drink (you never will find one who doesn't do both, naturally). There are others, but I can't mention these because of... of... journalistic integrity! Good thing I thought of that.

Good things about journalists (yes, there are some)

1. We provide taxi drivers all over the world with regular income and extensive expenses-covered tips
2. ditto purveyors of alcohol
3. We ALWAYS have a pen, which can be very handy in many social situations
4. Every so often one of our number exposes the lying sleazy treachery of a politician who everyone knows is a fraud but can't quite nail, and then we can all laugh as said politician sinks to obscurity.

Most conclusively,
5. We give estate agents someone to look down on - a significant public service.
