Never. I have tried BBQing bananas wrapped in bacon & that is a very fine dish, but never strawberries.

Take some fresh strawberries, preferably without any squishy bits (it complicates things if the skins are broken when you grill them, some of their juice escapes and they become very fragile) and grill them for about 7-10 minutes, until their skins look quite tight and very shiny...
They tend to taste sweeter grilled, so its especially good for the ones you get at the beginning of the season.
I think you also supposed to try serving them with cayenne pepper (I might be wrong here though. It might be balsamic vinegar. Either way I've never tried...)

Grilled - sounds interesting. I may try it tonight if I remember, I'm sure there are some in the fridge. I have heard that berries go well with balsamic vinegar, but I've never tried it.
Strawberries are very good in fruit flambée (sp?) so the grilled ones are probably great too.
