yes, there are actually some of us who haven't succumbed to wimbledon fever [gasp].

I have nothing morally against the game, indeed, I believe it's every man/woman's right to take up their rackets and play tennis. What I object to is the assumption that we all want it plastered across our television screens constantly; and of course the first programmes to go are the sf and fantasy- no buffy this fortnight, no treking, no, because come on, this is *sport* we're talking about.

But the worst thing was this evening, the season finale of the best new series to have come on tv recently, God, the Devil and Bob, and it was axed because the almighty wimbledon overran.

not to mention buffy and angel, the 5th and 2nd seasons of which I'm pining for... and then theres the lesser gems of roswell, dawson's creek and stargate, for all the s*** they turn out, they do make some quality stuff over there... smiley - online2long
