A Conversation for Astral Projection
What if it doesn't exist?

I guess I have a little problem with this entry. The entire premise is based on the fact that astral projection exists. However, there is no scientific proof that it does. In fact, astral projection is a tenet of philosophy, sometimes a religious belief, and it is occasionally aligned with superstition or myth.
One possibility is that astral projection is a term given to a certain special experience while meditating. Perhaps the mind's potent imagination is capable of creating the illusion that it has left the body, while it has not really done so.
I hesitate to complain, since I don't want to attack anyone's religious or philosophical belief system. But my fear is that other people with different belief systems might be offended when an entry is featured that is at odds with their beliefs.
So can you have an entry on something which may not exist? If you do, is it an act of irresponsibility to present it as unquestionable truth? Here are a few possibilities for editing the entry so that it does not offend anyone.
"Astral projection, or an 'out of body experience', is something that all of us, as humans, can do."
Solution:
Some people believe that astral projection, or an 'out of body experience', is something that all of us, as humans, can do. Others believe that astral projection does not exist, or that it is a term for the illusion that the mind has left the body. This entry is written primarily from the point of view of a believer. If you don't believe in astral projection, you can still explore this entry as an instruction manual for attaining an interesting mental illusion while meditating.
"The simple fact is that we do it unconsciously every night when we dream. This is astral projection at it's simplest. "
Solution:
Believers feel that we experience astral projection unconsciously every night when we dream. To them, this is astral projection at its simplest. Non-believers argue that during dreaming, the brain interprets random impulses created during the sleep process. These can give the illusion that the mind has left the body, but it hasn't necessarily done so.
"This simple act will create a psychic barrier around you, thus protecting you from any attack. "
Solution:
This simple act will create a psychic barrier around you, thus protecting you from any attack. Of course, if astral projection is an illusion, no such barrier is necessary, as your mind has never really left your body.
"Finally, have fun with it but remember to also take it seriously. It's an ancient practice that deserves respect."
Finally, have fun with it but remember also to take it seriously. Astral projection is an ancient practice. Even if you do not believe that astral projection is possible, the concept's existence is a profound testament to the power of the human mind, and as such it deserves respect.
