Great idea, veg 
I wonder if there are some h2g2 links that would be considered standard when creating a links page?
For example, many newbies would like to know how to create smileys in postings, so a link to the smileys page, or the tip that clicking on a smiley takes you to the smiley page would be a 'typical' item to include on an ACE link page.
Other links each ACE feels would be interesting would also be added.
I'm not suggesting a 'boiler plate' design for links pages, or an 'Official Set' of links... however, maybe this article could provide a focal point for a selection of recommended links??

How about putting links to other ACEs links pages so new ACEs can see the sort of thing other people have used. Mines at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A559695 if you want to use it!
