Mikey likes it!
My main comment regards the first sentence:
"The Torture Garden club is a fetish club catering for open-minded adults."
1) The club caters to, not caters for. If the club was catering for, they would be serving food in little waitery outfits.
2) I know what you're trying to say, but I don't think saying that it "caters to open-minded adults" would be quite accurate. Yes, all of the adults the club caters to are open-minded, but the club definitely does not cater to the general population of all open-minded adults -- there are many who are accepting/tolerant of such things but not particularly interested themselves.
I showed the entry to a friend (who admittedly tends towards the uptight), and he interpreted that first sentence to infer that all open-minded people would be into this kind of thing, and that everyone else must therefore be close-minded.
However, I'm not entirely sure how I would rephrase it if I were you. You could say "caters to adults interested in diverse experiences", but that could run in to the same issue as above. You could say "caters to adults interested in diverse sexual experiences", but I know many people who don't consider what they do at such events/places to be sexual in nature.
Of course, maybe it's just an unsolvable issue, and the uptight people of the world aren't going to be reading this anyway.

Thanks for pointing out that little error, silly english language, sometimes it's hard to read the same piece over and over again and see things like this.
When I wrote this article, I wanted people to see that is more than a bunch of people that like dressing up. I want readers to know that the TG night out is an experience in itself, the music, the shows and everything about it. The people that go to TG nights are the friendliest bunch I have ever seen. Everyone is considerate, you can wear what you like, do pretty much what you want, and no one looks down on you, or laughs at you for doing or wearing what makes you happy.
People like my dad who once said "I've never seen such a bunch of weirdos in one place in all my life" are not the sort of people that would ever like it. He has no ability to understand why someone might want to wear a rubber nuns habit and dance all night. So when I said open minded adults I guess I was thinking of him. The same phrase is used in the TG manifesto, so if it is good enough for them it is good enough for me.
Although saying that, it is the very people that might be called uptight that I'd like to read it. Someone could be open minded enough to read the entry, but still not think they would enjoy it, I'd hate to think I was calling them narrow minded by default. So I've decided to take the words open minded right out, and just left it at adults. Because, at the end of the day, just because someone goes to a fetish club, does not mean they are open minded.
Well Done :-)

Ignore post 26, it should have said -
Thank you! That was a lot quicker than I expected.
I got all confused and posted 2 entries on the wrong forums. I shouldn't do things in a hurry.
Well Done :-)
HappyDude Posted Jun 12, 2001
could be a giggle having an unofficial h2g2 meet up at a TG event.
Well Done :-)
Martin Harper Posted Jun 12, 2001
Well - I'm all for it - if you don't mind it being my first such event, and my eyes being like this ----> <---- for most of the evening...
Well Done :-)

Go and look on the website, and pick a date! I had to take the link to TG out, as it kept getting caught on the moderators.
What about the end of July, the beach party?
Well Done :-)
Martin Harper Posted Jun 13, 2001
re: the link, You might want to leave a note to sub-ed asking them to put the link in if it's acceptable - if some moderators fail and some pass, obviously there's a difference of opinion here, hopefully the Sub-Eds/Towers can resolve...
Or you could try the Moderation Helpdesk - I wouldn't.
Well Done :-)

As far as I know, the link was passed by Peta at least twice, because although the link is an 18, she couldn't find anything offensive on the site. It just kept coming back in the queue though. Maybe it will make it for the edited guide.
Well Done :-)
Martin Harper Posted Jun 20, 2001
That's the thing at 27th July? Though I can't see how you know it is a beach party... That works reasonably well for me - or the 24th August one probably works equally well. What does everyone else want?
