A Conversation for Wine Tasting in Adelaide
South Aussie Wines & Beer

I whole-heartedly agree. South Australia is among the top three wine producing centres in the world. If you want to go only slightly further out of your way, there are also sensational wine regions in the Claire Valley and in the Coonawarra region.
The National Wine Centre of Australia is now located only a picturesque five minutes walk from the city through the botanic gardens. It is an amazingly ugly building, supposedly made to look like a giant wine barrel, but containing some sensational wines within. If that is too far to walk from your hotel, there are cafe strips throughout Adelaide that feature the best in South Australian wines.
For those who prefer a beer to a wine, Coopers Pale Ale is the best beer in Australia. And yes, it is SUPPOSED to be that cloudy. The joke that one hears on a daily basis (mainly from visitors from Victoria) is that it is the Adelaide water that makes it so cloudy. The obvious response is that it must be the Adelaide water that makes it soooo gooood...
