Dear All,
You are invited to view and review the following http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A563429 inspired by and intended as a companion piece to the League of Gentlemen article at A550964.
Mine is a personal perspective on the effect of the filming of the cult BBC TV series on my home town of Hadfield. It is factual although told in rather a personal style.
I would appreciate your comments and thoughts on whether it is an appropriate candidate for inclusion in the Edited Guide.
Thanks for your attention
MC

Beautifully written MC. Nothing to criticize, except maybe you could make it longer, but that's just me being greedy. Gets my vote.

Updated to GuideML format if anyone's interested.

It could hardly have been rewritten with greater skill than with which it was first crafted - but the new GuideML format looks wonderful. Well done!

A valuable addition to the guide, as it gives unusual insight into how the making of a television programme affects the area in which it is staged.

Mr. Cogito

Hello,

Well done. Now we know how scarring the League of Gentlemen can be for a community... smiley - winkeye I can't really think of much to say, except that you might want to say a bit more where Hadfield is (what county, how far from the closest major city). But I suppose that would only attract more crazed tourists...

Yours,
Jake

Okey Dokey, pig in a pokey (quoting here just in case anybody thinks I normally talk like that!)
Footnote added to place Hadfield more accurately in the wider scheme of things. Also corrected a spelling mistake nobody else had pulled me up on yet and shortened my alternative title so it fits on one line in Goo (glorious Goo smiley - winkeye)

Congratulations!

What's all this shouting?! We'll have no trouble here!

Sorry, had to channel my inner Edward a second. Good news! You entry has been approved for inclusion into the Edited Guide. This means that it will be assigned to a Sub-editor and after it has gone through the Editorial Process (it can take a while) become part of the Edited Guide! When that glorious day arrives, your entry will be featured on the Front Page and you'll receive an email letting you know. In the meantime, keep writing for the Guide and keep up the good work! smiley - smiley

Yours,
Jake
