Nice entry, and the author,
Researcher Fineberg http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U175657
accidently posted the following to his *entry* rather than to the Peer Review. It's in text mode, but GuideML isn't a strict requirement.

This should be a good introduction to anyone looking to know the very basics of a very complex community. I've given about equal attention to physical characteristics, landmarks, the mythology, etc. I heartily recommend this entry for editing into the Guide.

Oh, uh, as I was saying, I liked the entry and thought it captured the general vibe over here. I thought, though, that maybe you should add a little bit on the differences within the Valley, seeing as how the more urban east is different from the more upscale and spread out west--the Valley isn't homogeneous culturally, ethnically, or geographically... and, yes, maybe a word or two about malls and valley girls. And pornography. The Valley is the porn capital of the world, so you may want to mention that if you ever see a dark-windowed limosine cruising down Devonshire at three in the afternoon, you can bet there's a porn being made in it. But even as it is right now, the entry is good and I think definitely sufficient.

Hi there , thanks for popping in!
Actually, as Fineberg is absent and hence is unlikely to change anything, could you be bothered to add these info in full wording? Or better still, create a new entry, post the A-number here, and be rewarded co-authorship?

I've been out of town, so I haven't been able to check back, but I'm glad to see that there were some helpful comments. I'm still new to the whole format, but hopefully I can get a hang of GuideML and all the other nuances of the site. In the meantime, I've added a few paragraphs to the original entry based on some of the suggestions. I put a bit in there on the ethnic and financial divisions in the city, and also on the west valley as the porn haven of the world. Hope this helps!

Yeah many Congratulations
This is a great entry, and it's going to be put in the guide.
It'll be sent off to a sub-editor for a little polish, and eventually featured on the front page, when you'll get an email from the powers that be..
Enjoy the moment of glory
CONGRATULATIONS

Thanks everyone. I'm most pleased, and happy that my little corner of LA will now be represented adequately in the Guide.
