That's not fair. It's fourteen here in England.
I thought it was a good article, especially for a first one. I've got to work out my prank soon, so this will be genuinely useful...

Absolutely! One of my moments of triumph was being able to read fluently on my first day in reception whilst everyone else was reading "the cat sat on the mat"...

my reception teacher refused to believe that i could read a book anight. i mean they where only thirty or so pages long. I still read a book a night, but only now its beginning to cost me quite a bit.

What are you reading at the moment? I'm reading "Under a Glass Bell" by Anais Nin. I too read too much. The secret is to buy them in charity shops - they're cheap, it's for a good cause and you don't feel bad about buying thin books in the same way you would new ones (because of the value for money factor!).

Oh ive been reading this red square book - a wierd one about a russian detective at the turn of communisim into democracy. But ive finished that - and just bought a couple of books in the cancer research shop - uhh tom clancy SSN and that Catch 22 book - never actually read it before, so i thought it better, and for a quid each i thought that was pritty good. So what if they're second hand? they're going toget battered if i read them anyway...

I've just bought "Catch-22" - only I spent the full 7 quid. Still, it was me birthday money.
Have you seen "Chairman Blair's Little Red Book" by Steve Bell? Genius (and in keeping with third way colour thinking, is blue).

How many alevels are you doing?
Oh, I was great at maths and physics. I was medium at english - I'm dyslexic, which proved a real problem for expressing things. My most hated subject was Art - i would always be asked what did i think of a painting/sculpture and my reply would be i liked it. They then demanded to know WHY i liked it - and i wasnt really able to say why.
My not so most hated subject was french. To be honest, to begin with i really enjoyed french, but i never understood a single thing that was going on in it. The only subjects that i revised for GCSE where French and D&T- i scraped a D for the french and a C for my DT. For all my other subjects i got anything between an A* and a B.
Well that screws the theory of what you put in you get out then dosnt it.

and before anyone asks, this is me revising. No, really.

I'm doing five - English Lit., Biology, History, Art(!) and General Studies; technically I've only been doing four and an AS, but I made up the rest of Art A-level in my own time.
My best subject is a toss-up between Art and English, though I shall be doing English at university. I was bloody awful at maths and physics - though I worked my guts out just to piss off my physics teacher and get an A*. Ha. French - I love it now, but its not always been the case; my French teacher told me just before my exams "Emily - you haven't worked at French for four and a half years; it's a bit late to start now". Worked hard to piss her off with an A* too. Latin I was always good at, but then I got an A at GCSE. Flocci non facio, deliciae meae.
How many are you doing?
