I haven't done Latin "in anger" since I was twelve, and I feel the strange need to be Sartorially incomprehensible. Normally I would go and lie down until the feeling passed, however...
Might someone translate the words of Homo Araneus for me? "Envy the country that has heros. Pity the country that needs them."
Anyone with a scholarly disposition will probably wince at my first stab "Patriam quis heros habet ite aemulate. Patriam quis heros indiget, ite commiserate."
I feel a sudden solidarity with Graham Chapman when caught graffiti-ing by John Cleese.
