Stress and age results in the door giving way to the interest of a bat hanging from the roof...

*GL, Canaru, and Xai, however, are nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Vomar examines the now un-toaded companions, and notices that his amulet is glowing. He looks inside, and is very startled to see GL, Canaru, and Xai*

G'ah! That's odd. I wonder how they got in there....let's get out of this castle, and get to safety, so that we can figure out how to get people out of a giant amulet.

*Meanwhile, GL looks around the inside of the gem*

GL-Remind me to never think the phrase "escape" again while clutching this amulet.

"spoony" was used in the old final fantasy games as a substitute for really bad bad curse words. feel free to take my lead and use it, since the word "spoony" is sure to not offend anyone or anything. besides maybe spoons.

Siun: *visibly panicking, slightly dazed from the transformation* Where is Canaru...? What's going on...? *to Xai, in happy happy ancient language* WHy doesn't someonedo something about that spoony door???

Canaru, Xai, and GL appear to be in a very strange place that I can see through this amulet, Siun. I believe that Garius has found another strange power of the amulet.

*Xai who is mildly startled by the magic of the stone working on him looks around.*

[Xai] my... this is rather interesting..... you seem to have manifested some sort of extremely passive magic, i'm not sure i like the implications of that.....

*He walks toward the side of the crystal and the side of the crystal moves farther back from him.*

[Xai] hmmmmmmm..... how odd..... do be more careful next time you use that spoony thing.....

GL-Well, I'll try, but I'm not entirely sure how it happened.

*Garius approaches a wall, which extends for him*

GL-Hmmm,....I don't think we're on a physical plane. We might be able to escape the inside of this castle, simply by walking far enough. No way to tell how far we go, though.

*Vomar, meanwhile, has entered the hallway, and is using all of his stealth tricks to stay in the shadows and not make a sound. He motions for the others to follow, and notices a familiar-looking room through an open door*


That map! That's the same map that I saw outside! I should be able to get to a window, open it, and then the rest of us can sneak out!

LINE appears behind Vomar's shoulder "What you doing?"

*Quoth sneaks up to join Vomar.*
What we need is rope.

*Xai crouches down and runs his hands on the surface of the stone floor. The room shakes and is filled with a high pitched vibration. The light dims and there is a dull patch on the floor where his hands had been.*

[Xai] oops.... i don't think i'll be doing that again.....

*The dead zone on the floor slowly shrinks as the stone replenishes its magic.*

*lost in backlog*

His question ignored LINE disappears and leaves them to get killed by the timed spikes he was about to warn them of.

[sea] i might have some rope...

*sea searches the pocket-of-destiny*

Siun: *is currently leaning against a wall and quietly nibbling on her fingernails* I have some rope, whoever needed it... I guess Sea and I could tie the ends of our ropes together, and it would make it longer... Practical, no? *begins unwrapping a length of thick silk rope from around her waist, hands it to Sea* Here you go. Found yours yet?

*sea looks at the silk rope appreciatively*

[sea] nice...

*sea finally locates her length of rope and ties the end to siun's*

*Xai is tossing his kris blade around with slightly bemused look on his face.*

[Xai] i am really quite lost as to what is going on outside of this crystal.....



[OCC] *sorely misses the ingenuity of GL*

Okay, okay, so I'm not doing as well with the part as GL would. Don't worry, he'll be back in a few days, I think.

*Vomar checks the timer on the timed spikes*

We've got at least seven postings before they get to us. Pity about that Line fellow. Wonder who that was....oh, well. Maybe Line'll come back.

*Heads into the other room, and pries open the window*

Someone hand me the rope.

Xai, that trick where part of the crystal vanished....the same thing happened to my amulet. I think we're inside my amulet. When we get far enough away, just do that again, and we might be able to just jump out of here....wherever this is.

*The light inside the stone darkens and the walls turn a murky red color.*

[Xai] the section i touch may become brittle enough to break through, but i don't know what it would do to the crystal.....

*The walls take on an angry hue.*

[Xai] ummmm...... GL? i think this is a living entity.... i'm not sure my touching it is a good idea..... it hurts it i think and it's magic touched me somehow when it pulled us in here, so i'm hesitant to hurt it again.....

*The room brightens again and the walls assume a more pleasant shade of red. His eyes grow distant with thought.*

[Xai] i'm not sure breaking out would do us any good anyway..... if we are inside your crystal and your crystal is around your neck, then that is a paradox that wouldn't exist in our plane of reality.... frankly i don't know if there is anything outside these walls.....

*sea hands affy the rope*

[ooc] *wispers* you talkin to Vomar?
