...personally, I think people should think about buying a rescue pet first, before other options.
...I have a 3 legged cat from RSPCA, she is an absolute sweetie, although she is pestering me to feed her 2 hours early!
...at least buying a recue pet you are reducing amount of unwanted pets

Another way of reducing the amount of unwanted pets, particularly dogs and cats is to have them spayed or neutered. The responsibility of owners of male cats and dogs is the same as the females; it takes both genders to reproduce.

my mum has dogs Dora and Charlie 
cats Dedra and Betty 
and shetland ponies Sonnie and Ash 
plus my sister and neice have cats Bill and Ted 'the wild stallions' , dog Maggie and pony Bella and our tropical fish
