Maybe you could add the Tag so the entry meets up to it's link name, ("Meet" the volunteers)!
Just an Idea, though i don't want my suggestion to result in volunteer's pages (like mine) getting flooded with visitors!!

I've got my stupid hat on this morning. I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea what you mean, aka!
Sorry - care to have another go explaining for the benefit of this confused individual? Thanks.

Are you saying that you want the name of this page http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A516953 to be changed to
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/volunteers-list?
That *may* be it Mark. Aka?

h2g2Support Posted Jun 6, 2001
Not so sure about that - then we'd have to create named pages for each of the tags linked to from http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic which would ensure those names couldn't be used for anything else, ever again. Scary thought!
BTW the official VOLUNTEER-LIST page is at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A517259

Ahh. Silly italicised people!
I Mean where it mentions the ACEs, add the Coding into there, and the same goes for where it mentions the other volunteer schemes
Understand now?
(So users can click into any volunteer's personal space from the Volunteer list schemes page)

I think I've got it!
At the page http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/volunteers
you want the drop-down volunteer lists for each of the volunteer groups to be included with the other information about each specific volunteer group?
?

h2g2Support Posted Jun 6, 2001
Aha. I understand.
They're already on the individual home pages for each bunch of volunteers, but there's no harm in repeating them. Nice idea - I'll see what I can rustle up.

Jimi X! Someone operating on my wavelength! How are you today then?
(I Don't know you yet, but i'm just friendly like this )
I'm fine. I'm getting better at this ACEing biz!
But i said for help ask me or visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/DontPanic-Help
What is the actual URL For the Don't Panic Help Centre?
Mark, Yep!! That's it! And, you're right, i mean Cerberus the greek mythological dog didn't do any worse as a legend with two heads did he?
*funny looks pointed toward me*

*tips cap*
No worries then.
The url for help is
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/dontpanic
OR
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A219638
They both go to the same place but the numerical one doesn't require as much work from the database. In Alabaster skin there's also a help button at the top labelled 'Help!' should a newbie need it.
Good luck with the ACE duties aka!
Cheers!

Yes. Search is in Alabaster too. I find the search engine to be indespensible and yes, it's on every page Alabaster and Goo.

Actually, I tried to add the drop-down list, and it broke up the layout so much I decided against it. The standard drop-down list is centred, and that doesn't work well at all, and putting it inside a left-aligned table spaces things out too much.
Sorry - good idea, just looks awful.

No Worries, Was only an idea and is now confined to the hall of misfit ideas that never get an inch off the ground!
(Actually, that sounds like a good idea for a new guide entry - Nah, leave it for someone else!)
I Have my duties and stuff here and any more i couldn't keep up with all the changing forums!

"Advertise your Clubs or Personal Space or any other interesting part of h2g2-cyber space at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A573392" Why don't you mention this to Abi, she can list it in her Abi's activities list on the 'Talk' page?

Hope everything turns out ok.
Pity you're not in the office though. Since all the boys are there alone, they're apparently sitting around in their underpants belching and making a mess of the place.
When will that h2g2 editorial offices webcam be ready?
