Just because he invented the Internet doesn't mean Bill Gates can get away with murder. Just look what the nasty man did to Netscape - forced them to get bought by AOL at a massive profit for all concerned. How dare he.

"Just because he invented the Internet doesn't mean Bill Gates"
The Internet was created by by the merger of ARPANET (created by the Information Processing Technology Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the government of the USA) and DECNET (created by the DEC company) later on the development of the TCP/IP wide area network protocol by the University of Berkley allowed other networks such as JANET & NSFNet and eventually your ISP to join this network. As to the WWW which is what I suspect Member 15602 was referring to in post 1 when they used the word "Internet" that protocol (HTTP) was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee when he was at CERN in Switzerland, with Mosaic web browser version 1.0 being released in 1993. So as you see Bill Gates had nothing to do with the invention of the Internet.
