Yes, I was too. And I wasn't the only one, in particular I am miffed that someone at EF admitted to an error then signed their h2g2 editors posting (Derek) which I now know could've been anyone permed from the non-permanent staff.

I've not even had a discussion with lil yet, saving that for Hull.


Thanks for the name-check but I'd just as rather not be at the top of that particular pile. (too good a target) I have noticed some Researchers haven't got the new badge, is it only for Solo efforts? Or collaborate?? I meant to ask, but forgot and anyway we can't post to the announcement threads. I had no clue about the new techy guy, if it's even a guy. I think Dye is 'real', because Natalie told us his real name and said he was cute.

But I wonder whose 'friend' I am on fb. I guess I'll take that account off. I feel silly, although I shouldn't do, because nobody knew that there was no 'Derek' - well, none of us volunteers, afaIk.

It's funny, I still think there was mainly 'one' Derek' (whatever the real name is), and although I can't be sure, I'll still miss 'Derek'.

Derek was a loveable personality... I'm sure we will still have a chance to chat with that person again

But that's the point, lil: according to Natalie, 'Derek' was whoever happened to be the temp staff of the day.

There was definitely one personality who was chatting to us...

... There was nothing malicious about it, so I for one can forgive the slight deception.

Delboy Hunny told me he used to work for h2g2 and was back part time.. Only someone close to Hootoo could be so affectionate towards those of us who are deemed a little .. 'odd'..
