Just another short note to ask for expressions of interest in 'Pedestrian Etiquette - dos, don'ts, and possibilities', yours, The Captain.

Pardon?
Sorry I haven't replied sooner but i hadn't noticed the reply, I must say I'm slightly baffled by your post, dos don't and possibilities? I'm afraid I don't quite understand.

Dear Em, thank you for your reply. Essentially, I am interested in the whole art of pedestrian interaction, the place where that fundamentally personal action, walking, suddenly becomes public. In the City context, what is acceptable, what is taboo, what examples abound of individual inventiveness, etc. We know of road rage - how about, 'pavement rage'? Yours seriously, The Captain.

Um, not to sound rude or anything but you do realise that "The Pedestrian" is a short story by Ray Bradbury and that my guide entry is a synopsis, not even that, it's just a critical essay I wrote for school...now I know I'm a pedestrian as although I'm 17 I haven't learnt to drive...
The Pedestrian rage thing happens every day in my opinion. Like how often have you been walking along the street and someone's bumped into you and bitten your head off for not watching where you're going? It happens loads!
Politeness is always good, you bump into someone, say your sorry and visa versa...if someone's walking towards you, be considerate and step aside...frankly being a good pedestrian is simply being a good human being
Key: Complain about this post
