But what about the 'Brain-freeze'?
Actually, this page is set up as a welcome and most of the community doesn't get around here too often. If you want to start chatting with people, you might want to go to http://www.h2g2.com/askh2g2
And pose a question to the community as to their slushpuppy preferences. Or you could go to the assistant community editors personal space at http://www.h2g2.com/Aces and start a convo there.
By the way, no one can properly say hello to you until you put something on your home page. All you need to do is click the edit button and type in a simple hello and I'm sure you'll be greeted by all kinds of people willing to talk about slushpuppies.
Cheers!

Well, I am new here as a researcher, but I am also a type of Slushpuppie addict. Yes, I am strong enough to admit it, I can't help myself. There are the voices... the strong calling voices of the Slushpuppies.... they beg me to drink them... the deliciousness of the Kelly (Blue Raspberry and Lime with a bit of Sprite) or a Kelly Wave (see above and add some Coke). But of all of my favorites, I prefer the Owen Special. This flavor is considered by many to be dangerous, and I invite you to read as I will publish a Guide entry shortly as to the best flavors, and how to best enjoy them. Thank you.

Ahh yes ... unfortunately the flavour running our so quickly is a metaphor for our modern times - so lovely and sticky sweet and so quickly gone! I crave the syrupy loveliness! Mmmmmm ....... *slurp*
Fortunately the brain-freeze side effect is a product of the human brain expelling all the unused endorfin rush - too much can result in an inability to string useful words and phrases together in the proper syntax.
*slurp*
Continued use can result in total neurological shut down and even retarded fashion sense most notably involving tracksuits and tartan slippers.
You have been warned.

I'm also a Slush Puppie fan. I've found that if you press your tongue against your soft palatte, the headache goes away.

Cheater. REAL slushpuppie lovers crave the freeze.... need it even. I sometimes wake up in a cold syrupy sweat and wonder where I am, and how this strange young woman got here with me, and then I wonder exactly why I'm sweating syrup, but more often, I just give up on the wondering and have another slushie.
