sorry but I am unable to read the words in green so I cannot understand what is going on

Hi there slfenelon, if you click on the button marked preferences you will see an drop down box called skin, it will display either Alabaster or Brunel, click on the arrow by the box & select Classic Goo, and then save your changes, that should change the text colour. If you're still having problems (I take it you're colour-blind), then let me know & I'll get someone else who is also colour-blind to pop on over to help you
