I really like the idea that this guide is, if you use your imagination, a guide with thousands of researchers 'living' around it at their homepages. Coming and going as they please, making little contributions and creating idle banter as they go. That gives me a nice warm feeling inside.

Don't like coffee. Tastes wierd.
(Isn't it amazing just how old all the conversations in this forum are!) I mean I posted that bit up there the day after I joined h2g2, or was it -the- day? How I've gone on since then.

Hi.
Could you do me a favour? Just pop over to my homepage. It's just that I want to be sure that the counter isn't picking up my visits. There's a voting thing waiting for you.

Well, you may or may not seen that I have linked you up.
I thought your homepage was unbelievably cool so it had to go there.
I like that little tune. I thought I could try and put up an Iron Maiden track or something (if they let me). Just how -do- you go about putting stuff like that on there? Fenchurch had a rather nice piano number but it's been replaced with something else.

Thanks!! I'll give you a link later, before I log off. THis is because my pc has a habit off disconnecting when I update my page. It takes time. But I'll do it anyway.
To put a sound on there you first of all have to have the sound uploaded. (I cheated cos I nicked the sound off here: http://www.hampsterdance.com)
And then put
After the "body" tag.
I found something cool a while ago: "blink" only works with netscape and "marquee" only PROPERLY works with IE. So I put both tags on "hoopy" and it'll blink in NC and scroll in IE. Cool.

Only just remembered to do it.
And it doesn't work.

I'll try it with some of my own stuff tomorrow perhaps.

See http://www.geocities.com/thecow96596/music.html (I think) for a working example.
