responding to the party who in my opinion,have a very blinkered view on karaoke.
not everyone has a defined taste in music and simply want to enjoy the fun of it all.people do not,as your previous reporter stated,humiliate themselves,but enjoy the tongue in cheek of sending themselves up.
having myself,presented many karaoke shows understand the broad spectrum of singers from as far parts as wester hailes in edinburgh and quite recently hoxton square in london,(seal being one of the singers),understand that you never underestimate the power of the karaoke!!!!

Otherwise it's like being in a football crowd and trying to answer a question you briefly heard an hour ago. If you don't find the relevant person again, nobody will understand.
