Mr. Adams, 42?

Post 1

Rexnoir

I first heard (actually felt) of Douglas Adams form a teacher who had thrown me a book out of frustration. running from school with book in hand I took a glance at it. That book was the Hitch Hikers Guide the the Guide the the Galaxy....(Oh,oh. Now things get odd...)
Since that day, my Towel, my tennis shoe, my sunglasses and the word Zaphod have never been the same. I was a poor student, not finacially I just couldnt afford to pay attention. And Growing up in the streets of East Los Angeles wasnt helping either. But reading the first book of the 5 book trilogy was something of an lemon wrapped gold brick to the head. (haha, get it)
Well to make matters short, or short as they can be without being invisible because then they would be non existant, there fore not matter at all but something else that can only be seen in a alternate reality....Anyway..
Mr. Adams, I never got to meet you. I wish I had, but we can't all meet our heros. You were mine as a boy learning about Life the Universe and East Los Angeles.

I do hoewever want to say Thank you, thank you for helping a wild boy turn to books and learn that while the universe may be a huge and entirely scary creation, its a bit less with a good towel and much less with a great book, especially one of yours.
Even if its book number four of a five book trilogy! Thank you sir, thank you...Farewell...
