I'm not in the habit of doing this but here goes...

When at school at 14, many moons ago, I, like my school friends were occasionally thrown into the school library and made to choose a book, read the first few pages and decide whether or not we should take the book home.

Being lazy I ventured no further than A and found a copy of HitchHikers. Every time I had to do this I pretended never to have heard of Douglas Adams and borrowed HitchHikers again and again and again and again......

When I left school I read the sequels.

He'll be greatly missed by all who loved his work, can't imagine what it must be like for his family and friends.

Tony//.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
