I'm sorry to say that I had only heard of this event very recently, while visiting one of my favorite sites, It had shocked me to hear that one of my favorite storytellers had passed away. I have been a fan of Mr. Adams' work since 6th grade and am now in my freshman year of higher learning at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in sequential art. If anything, I don't mourn the loss of his life per se, but I mourn the loss of a geat artistic point of view, there will be no more stories continuing the lives of the characters that we all knew, and the stories that he would have told will never be. my sympathies to the family, and may they find strength in the knowlege that his work infuenced the lives of many , and that his work will inspire many generations to come.If the saying that you don't really die until your name is forgotten, than, in a way Douglas Adams has achived a kind of immortality.
