Saying thank you hardly seems enough

No-one has been a greater comfort to me than Douglas Adams as I have faced the dark absurdities of the universe.
When I have been in the worst of places, he has always made me laugh again. There are few writers who can make you feel that truly, you are not alone.
But only if I were as much a master of words as him could I describe my debt of gratitude to him. And I'm not, so I'll stop now.

I am a grateful mum and have the same sentiments as yourself. My bright son at an early age discovered Douglas Adams' books and hasn't looked back since. He found a kindred spirit with the same sense of humour and tapped into Douglas' genius. Saying thank you isn't enough.
