I have not heard of this acroniym could you fill me in?
The guide could be down loded to a not book or personal computer but im shore the guide is rapidly aprodhing a teribyte of data so that would not be practicle so printing edited entrys or just making them available on a demand basis could be the answer. it is an intresting problem.

Really the only thing that would be practical is to allow entries or inquiries to be down(up)loaded at the time the handheld(PDA) is synced, or in the case of the wireless versions, anytime. It isn't necessary to carry the entire guide at once, the only important parts are the ones you need at the time. Someone needs to write a software application, either modify a web-scraper or write something proprietary.

I am just starting to get into PalmOS programming, but I would love to write something to make this Guide useful as a portable reference, or at least to make entries into the Guide more convenient for Researchers, which will increase the content of the Guide, and thus make it more valueable.

If anyone is working on this software and would like help, or if anyone is interested in colaberating on this software with me, drop me a line in my personal space.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
