So WHY can't I put up pictures of my children or people that I admire?

You just have to get a job working for h2g2. But you're right, I noticed this awhile ago.

This was the first thing I noticed when I came back. I had just laid an article out with a bunch of photos. I came back and it was all gone. Bummer.

The only workarounds are to give links to a page offsite where people can view your photos, or else become a programmer for h2g2. (Check out some of the family photos on staff members' pages at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/team

...Or the ultimate workaround, sign the petition to remove these unnecessary restrictions imposed by BBC. The petition can be found at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A544943

You can also use photos if you use them for an article in the h2g2 Post:

Since anyone can write for the Post, this provides a rather interesting workaround.

Shazz already knows, Subcom. Deidzoeb. And I don't think she particularly minds.

I'll try to think of a way to justify writing a Post article using the photo of Comandante Mrs. Deidzoeb on our honeymoon. (Very tasteful, the blanket covers everything but her glorious smile)

Won't shazz have to edit all our Post articles though? I mean, if all 76000 h2g2 researchers become Post writers to justify posting photos? Anyway, I'll put this in the workaround guide, but I'll try to put a humorous spin on it.
