Why has my little poem been taken from my conversations with people. I can't see how it break's the house-rules. I was very proud of that poem so why oh why oh why has it been removed???????

Maybe one of the moderators thought it might be copyright of someone else and they made a mistake...

I'm not really here

It has been referred to the community team, so all you can do is wait I'm afraid. When they have seen it they'll either reinstate it, or email you the reasons why they have to keep it hidden. Make sure the email address in your preferences is current, as that's where they'll send it.
You might find that your poem was so good that the moderators were worried it was someone else's work. If you look at it sideways and standing on your head, it's almost flattering. smiley - winkeye

Hi Tally!

Did you get an email from the moderators, saying that it has been hidden? If it has been failed you should have received on automatically. If you did, reply to that email and the feedback team can investigate.

Did it contain wording foreign language? If so, it would be referred and hidden.

Or finally, can you give us a link to the posting? Then the feedback team can check the posting and reply to you.

Aha. We've just found it. You cut and pasted your poem to a lot of places and people Tally.

As you said in the beginning of the poem;
"Spam, spam, spam.....

Posting the same thing to lots of places is regarded as sending spam messages, and that's against the House Rules. This is why your postings were failed.

Ok so it started of with spam spam spam, but it wasn't spam that was just me in a bout of insanity. If you read further you will see it was just my way of starting a few new conversations with a few researchers. Please explain why this is not allowed!

I think I may have pushed a bit hard with my reply to there e-mail. Sorry if it isn't suitable but I was very annoyed and what my e-mail says is the truth.

If the truth gets me banned from this site I don't care!!! This is a cool site that I have only been a member of for a couple of weeks and I have already made several contributions, imagine what else I could do for this site!!!

I'm sure that you won't be banned - a single instance of spamming is unlikely even to get you a warning. If you were *very* nasty in your response email, then you might have problems, but you don't seem the sort to do that. Just relax, take it easy, and be patient. smiley - zen

You could always put your poem in an entry, and post it to *relevant* conversations - there's an h2g2 poetry corner round here somewhere, where you'll find lots of people who like poetry, for example. I find that journals are a good place to post poetry - then people who visit your home space can speak to you there, and you can met new people that way! smiley - smiley

It was just an insane poem designed to be a conversation starter with other researchers.

The thing is that I wrote this in response:

I am totally devastated that you found my poem so outrageous that you have
expelled it from my conversations. I produced that poem in a bout of
insanity in a way that was not intended to be interpreted as Spam. It may
start with the phrase spam, spam, spam but after all it was a very good
conversation starter. That was all it was intended as! Please reinstate my
poem because I am very proud of it, I only sent it to a few people because I
was pleased with it, also I used them to start new conversations so as they
did not ruin the thread of existing conversations. If you do not think this
is a suitable response to your banning then let me know. I just cant believe
you blocked this harmless conversation starter whereas there are
conversations flying around that are meant to stir up the controversy of the
American and Afghan situation.

I'm in trouble now!!!

Then I confidently predict that you won't get banned. (yeah, like I'm a reliable source...smiley - winkeye)

Perhaps next time, you should start your conversations with - "would you like to hear my poem?" Then if they want to hear it, you can say it, and if they don't want to hear it, they don't have to! smiley - smiley

If you're proud of your poem, why not submit it to the alternative writing workshop, at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A608799 ? I know that we of the AGG/GAG would be delighted to hear it... smiley - ok

Ok let me rewrite.....

Spam, spam, spam
Green eggs and Ham
Me very bored
So come and gawk
At my site page
Then you can gauge
How insane I am
With my green eggs and ham
And see how I stork
Those that dont talk
To me on my space
Boy this is ace!

Now I was asked to write this so it is not SPAM!!!!!!

Post 17

looks more like green eggs and ham to me... smiley - smiley

Well I had to find something to use to rhyme with spam so I used my fav chil;dren's book title. That's the only link to the book. So no copyright has been breached.
