I knew a chap once who came over to our town on an exchange. He used to wear black and asked why, he said: I am mourning for my goldfish.
Well, but what I realy found funny, and which has kept as a saying in our family, is the way he angizised(?) Entschuldigung. He said: I´m chewing the gum. And if you speak it very quickly, you cannot hear the difference.
